a just digital future

Digital Justice Organizer

Thank you to all of our applicants for the Digital Justice Organizer role! We are still interviewing candidates, but look forward to having a new team member on board late this month!

Portland Clean Energy Fund

A ballot measure that would have diverted 25% of Portland Clean Energy Fund (PCEF) dollars to hire more armed police failed to qualify. Portland Police Association attempted to get enough signatures to qualify the measure to be on the ballot this November.

Portland voters passed PCEF in 2018. A 1% tax on Portland sales from large national retailers with revenue over $1 billion generates PCEF. The fund protects Portlanders from the impacts of climate change, but other groups continue to try to divert the fund to other special interest groups. We’ll keep you updated on any future action to keep the funds safe!
